Reflection:

During my two years at Herkimer County Community College I played both soccer and softball and I was a starter for every game. I played a huge part of each team being a goal keeper and catcher. The team depended on me for each and every game. Through my experiences playing soccer and softball this illustrates my performance and that I have competency in the area of health related fitness.

I had a very successful career for both sports, as my stats are shown here. I not only learned in depth tactics of both sports, but also about the teamwork that it takes to be a successful athlete.

Gererals Tie Cougars; Advance to Regionals on Penalty Kicks

In the first round of Regional playoffs, Herkimer hosted Clinton CC and Herkimer advanced to the next round in an exciting round of Penalty Kicks. A little of midway of the first half of the game, Herkimer's Nicole Earl scored off an assist from Amber Swanston which held up through the first half. Going into the second period, Clinton's Krissy Bullock managed to bend a shot in from the side of the field tying the game. The game remained tied through regulation and then went into overtime. Both overtime periods also ended in a 1-1 tie which sent the game into a shootout. Herkimer's Courtney Roberts made 3 beautiful saves to give the Lady Generals the win and advance them to the next round. Herkimer would now be traveling to Finger Lakes CC to face the #1 seed in the tournament on Tuesday. Herkimer is now 8-6-3 overall.
